Georgian premier invited to Eastern Partnership Summit

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has been invited to the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels on December 15.

The local bureau of Report says, citing the Georgian government.

The official invitation was sent by President of the Council of the European Union (EU) Charles Michel and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.

The invitation states that the summit will reaffirm the strategic importance of the Eastern Partnership in the face of ongoing global challenges.

The meeting will focus on deepening cooperation, responding to global and regional challenges and other important issues, and will be attended by presidents and governments of the 27 EU member states and the Eastern Partnership.
