Six more people have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus in Georgia, taking the total number to 431 as of April 24.

A total of 114 have recovered from the illness while five others died, Report informs citing the official website of the Georgian government.

The country has placed up 5,126 people under quarantine, 578 under stationary control.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to 210 countries and territories since then.

To date, COVID-19 cases have reached 2,726,759 globally, resulting in 749,888 recoveries and 191,084 deaths.

On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
