Covid-19 cases grow in Armenian army

One more serviceman has contracted coronavirus in Armenian Armed Forces, said spokesperson for Armenian Defense Ministry Shushan Stepanyan.

According to her, the soldier has been isolated, Report says citing Novosti Armeniya.

The spokesperson added that the country earlier confirmed six cases in the army.

So far, Armenia reported 482 COVID-19 cases and three deaths.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to over 199 countries and territories since then.

To date, COVID-19 cases surpassed 700,000 globally, resulting in more than 30,000 deaths.

On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as Covid-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
