Army general: Ukraine has no doubt that its territories will be fully liberated

The struggle for freedom and the right to live in a free country has been going on for half a year, Major-General of the Ukrainian Army Viktor Nazarov told Report.

"Perhaps six months ago, few people believed that Ukrainians would be able to resist Russia in such a course of events, but it happened. Ukrainians scattered in different corners of the world showed everyone a true example of unity, success and self-sacrifice," he said.

"We understood that we can defend the independence of our country. Against the background of the war launched by Russia against us, we will protect democracy, social structure, values, human freedom, and independence not only for Europe, but for the whole world. During the six months of the war, we realized that we can not only defend, but even win," he said.

The general reminded that the surroundings of Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Odesa had been liberated from the enemy, and the battles for Kherson continued:

"Ukrainians protect their country in the east under difficult conditions. We have no doubt that our territories will be fully liberated. We are grateful to all our partners who provided us with arms and financial support, as well as moral support. Ukrainians will continue to fight until they win a complete victory. No matter how difficult it is for us now, everyone - from the country's leadership to ordinary citizens - believes in it. We have no doubt that all of Ukraine will be free.

Happy Independence Day!" he added.
