"The Armenian government has failed to control the ban on the import of Turkish goods, and at the same time, it shamefully lifted the embargo," Emil Stepanyan, founder of the Export Armenia community, said in an interview with Sputnik Armenia, Report informs.
"The government not only did monitor the implementation of the ban, but also did not try to help local producers in any way. Two months before the ban came into force, importers filled their warehouses with Turkish goods for the next six months. Only in recent months, some local producers have been able to enter the market. But when Turkish goods return, they remove the Armenian goods from the market again."
Turkey has state support, innovative approaches, and automated production, which makes their products more competitive," the expert said.
