Uzbekistan exports $7M-worth carpets to Azerbaijan

Last year, Azerbaijan imported carpets from Uzbekistan for over $7.4 million, Report informs via the Uzbek news agency Dunyo.

Uzbekistan exported carpets to 18 countries in 2021 for $42.1 million.

According to the State Statistics Committee, in 2021, the main destinations of Uzbekistan's carpet exports were Kyrgyzstan ($20.3 million), Azerbaijan ($7.4 million), Russia ($4.2 million), Afghanistan ($3.4 million), Kazakhstan ($2.8 million), Saudi Arabia ($2.2 million), Tajikistan ($538,000), Ukraine ($437,000), the United States ($430,000), Armenia ($185,000) and Turkey ($115,000).).

At the same time, Uzbekistan's total carpet exports increased by $12.8 million compared to 2020.
