US intelligence services are analyzing genetic data on viruses studied in the Wuhan Institute of Virology lab, Report informs, citing CNN.
The broadcaster does not have precise information on when and how American intelligence could have accessed this data but does not rule out that this happened through hacking into servers related to research in the Wuhan laboratory. The array of genetic information requires careful analysis to make it possible to draw any specific conclusions. Such work is carried out with the help of supercomputers in the laboratories of the US Department of Energy, the TV company reports. According to it, the process is complicated because the accompanying notes are in Chinese, so the American special services need to find knowledgeable Chinese specialists and make sure that they can be trusted. The exact timeline for the completion of this work has not yet been determined.
