US general: Next few weeks will be decisive in terms of war in Ukraine

"The next few weeks will be decisive in terms of the war in Ukraine," Mark Milley, a United States Army general, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told Foxnews.
"Currently, significant fighting continues between Ukrainian and Russian forces in Donbas. The events of the next few weeks will significantly determine the future development," he said.

According to Milley, the position battles in Donbas may end with the victory of one of the parties. He said peace talks are the best way out of the war, given the significant losses on both sides.

"Settlement of conflict through negotiations would be a more logical choice. The decision on how everything will end must be made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin," he added.
