Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said that the country would insist that Iran hand over flight recorders from the Boeing 737 plane that crashed in Tehran, Report informs citing the Reuters.

Ukraine would convey the message to visiting Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami, that returning the black boxes would show that Iran wanted an unbiased investigation of the crash, Prystaiko said.

Yesterday, Iran had said it was trying to analyze the black boxes from the airliner.

A Ukrainian International airlines Boeing 737 flying to Kyiv crashed shortly after leaving Tehran airport in the early hours of January 8. All 176 people on board died: 167 passengers from Iran, Ukraine, Canada, the UK, Sweden, and Afghanistan, including nine crew members.

Iranian military said that the Ukrainian Boeing was shot down by accident, the human factor was to blame: the plane flew near the Iranian military facility and was mistaken for an "enemy target."
