Ukraine ambassador says 57 civilians, including two minors, died in shelling

Today is the second day of hostilities in Ukraine after the offensive of Russian troops, Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladyslav Kanevskyi told a press conference.

Report quotes the diplomat as saying losses among civilians amounted to 57 people, of which two were children, more than 100 were injured.

According to the ambassador, the Russian military is also shelling peaceful cities, including Kyiv. The rocket fire set a residential building ablaze, with casualties reported.

The diplomat noted that these rocket attacks are very reminiscent of what happened in Ganja during the 44-day war; there is a smell of gunpowder everywhere.
