Toronto is Canada's most populous city, with nearly 3 million residents. Tory fears the city could face a similar situation as New York City, which has been the epicenter of the outbreak in the United States.

The authorities of the city introduced the penalty of 3,5 thousand dollars for the violation of social distance in two meters, Report informs citing the RIA Novosti.

Violation for the distance may concern any two people who do not live together, the document says.

According to the results of the investigation, violators can be fined up to 3,500 us dollars.
