The United States maintains contacts with the World Trade Organization members regarding the Russian membership in the organization, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said, Report informs via Ukrainian media.

"Now, in terms of the WTO specifics, Ambassador (Katherine) Tai has been obviously engaging with other WTO countries. It's not a unilateral step the United States could take or the President (Joe Biden) could take, but we will continue those conversations as well," Psaki said.

In addition, the Venice Commission initiates the termination of Russia's right to representation in it. This was announced by a member of the Venice Commission, Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Serhiy Holovaty.

On March 8, the Bureau of the Venice Commission agreed on a decision that the President of the Venice Commission, Mrs. Claire Bazy-Malaurie, should apply to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on the issue of terminating Russia's right to representation in the Venice Commission.

The Committee of Ministers is expected to decide on March 10.
