"When it comes to the Muslim world, the Western media is committed to the policy of double standards," Khalid Teymur Akram, a Pakistani analyst on international relations, told Report.
According to him, this is because Western governments prioritize their strategic interests and alliances over impartiality.
He cited the Israel-Hamas conflict as an example.
The analyst emphasized that the Western countries followed this approach during the Second Karabakh War, too: "The US and other Western countries constantly supported Armenia and supplied weapons to this country. After more than thirty years of conflict and numerous bloody battles, Azerbaijan liberated Karabakh, occupied by Armenia. As a result, Azerbaijan's victory meant not only the defeat of Armenian troops but also the celebration of justice. This also dealt a serious blow to the countries that supported Armenia in the conflict.”
