At least 51 people were killed and nine others injured in lightning strikes in Bihar and Jharkhand, where heavy rains with thunderstorms were observed, Report informs citing TASS.

Altogether 39 people have died across a dozen districts of Bihar, while 12 others lost their lives in four districts of Jharkhand. The authorities said that they would provide financial assistance to the families of the victims and the victims.
