Moldovan Secretary of State dies of COVID-19

Secretary of State of the Ministry of Finance of Moldova Angela Voronin was the victim of a coronavirus, Report informs, referring to the Ministry's press service.

"Angela Voronin was an example of honesty, fairness, and professionalism that we all pride, and it remains the same. On behalf of the Ministry of Finance employees, we express our condolences to her family," the statement said.

Voronin began her professional career in the Ministry of Finance in 2000. She was awarded many orders for his contribution to strengthening the country's financial system. She had been the Secretary of State of the Ministry since November last year.

So far, 43,734 people in Moldova have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Although 32,200 of them recovered, 1,144 died.
