"Since the beginning of the war, we have been bombed almost every day. Cassette shells are the most used," said Oleksandr Senkevich, the Mayor of Mykolaiv, one of the cities in Ukraine that is currently under constant Russian attack.

The mayor said that 56 civilians have been killed and 317 injured in Mykolaiv since the beginning of the war.

"The area of Mykolaiv is about 260 square kilometers. There are about 3,300 high-rise buildings in the city. During the hostilities, 317 buildings were damaged to some extent. About 60 buildings have been completely destroyed and it is not even possible to restore them. Thirty-six people were killed in the building of the State Administration, which was hit by a guided missile alone. The bodies of 34 of them were found under the rubble, and two died at the hospital due to various injuries. Four of the dead were security guards. Others were ordinary office workers. For example, two girls were employees of the Economic Court and worked in the court office on the upper floors of the building. In short, everyone in the building was involved in humanitarian issues, i.e., evacuation from the province."

The mayor noted that about 35% of the population had left the city:

"We can not say the exact number. But based on the amount of garbage disposal and water consumption, it is possible to draw some conclusions. Based on these two parameters, it can be assumed that 35% of the population of Mykolaiv left the city."
