India successfully tests long-range cruise missile

India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully flight-tested the indigenously developed Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile.
Report informs via The Times of India that the test was conducted from Dr Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha.
According to officials, the missile met all mission objectives during the test, validating key technologies related to propulsion, guidance, navigation and control, as well as warhead delivery.
The missile also demonstrated accurate performance during the midcourse and terminal phases of flight. Its flight profile, navigation and guidance systems, terrain-following capability and propulsion system performed within expected parameters.
The missile was developed and integrated by DRDO with the participation of Indian industry.
