German MFA: Russia wants to drag NATO into war

Russia is going toward a military conflict with NATO, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany Annalena Baerbock said in an interview with Funke media group, Report informs.

She noted that the Kremlin's goal is to destroy Ukraine and drag NATO into war: "However, we will not allow this. Because the victory of Russia will have a negative impact on the security of Europe and the international order. Therefore, support to Ukraine is a guarantee of Europe's security."

The minister ruled out the possibility of the West sending troops to Ukraine.
