Less than a quarter of US citizens believe Washington should take military actions against Iran to put an end to Iran's nuclear program, Report informs citing Interfax.
According to Gallup, 18% of Americans favor taking military action Iran, while 78% preferred a reliance on economic and diplomatic sanctions.
53% of respondents (more than half) would support military action against Iran if diplomatic and economic efforts are unsuccessful. 42% would remain opposed to this.
In addition, the poll shows that 65% of Americans are concerned about the US taking too aggressive an approach with Iran.
The poll was held on July 15-31. It involved nearly 1,500 adult respondents residing in the United States.
