Baku. 7 January. REPORT.AZ/ Flynas said it would start recruiting Saudi women to work as air hostesses by this month, in a new first while creating new job opportunities for women, Report informs citing Saudi Gazette. It will be the first among Saudi carriers to recruit women in senior positions.

The airlines, which was established in 2007, said in a statement that the first flight with a Saudi female flight attendant would be during this month, after finishing a comprehensive practical program.

Flynas said that the program of male and female flight attendants has attracted about 300 Saudis during the past two years, stressing the observance of working hours and the allocation of uniforms for Saudi female hosts in line with the customs and traditions of the Kingdom.

The airline requires a minimum of a secondary school certificate in the requirements for a “host” qualification. The height and weight should match the international aviation standards, proficiency in English and the applicant must be a Saudi national.
