Finland signs NATO admission request

Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto has signed a request to join NATO, Report informs, citing The New York Times.
Leaders of Finland and Sweden confirmed on Tuesday that the Nordic nations would jointly submit their applications for NATO membership this week, and would travel to Washington to meet with President Biden.
After Finland’s Parliament voted 188 to 8 on Tuesday in favor of the country’s application to join the alliance, Foreign Minister Haavisto signed the application.
