Two more deaths were added to the death toll left by Tropical Storm Paeng (international name: Nalgae), said the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Tuesday night.

Report informs, citing foreign media, that, according to NDRRMC, the total reported deaths due to Paeng is now at 112 — 82 of which have already been verified while the remaining 30 are still up for validation.

Meanwhile, the number of injuries also climbed to 103, while 34 individuals remain missing.

These casualties were reported in the regions of Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Bicol, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Soccsksargen, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao or Barmm, and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

On the other hand, affected individuals have climbed to 2,491,316 or a total of 751,800 families in 6,216 barangays.

A total of 52,541 or 189,392 individuals are still inside evacuation centers, while 278,562 families or 691,000 individuals are outside these centers.

The estimated damage to agriculture is currently at P1,346,584,950, while damage to infrastructure is currently pegged at P760,411.

NDRRMC also listed a P1,000,000 cost of damage to other assets like vehicles, medical equipment and medicines.

Bridges and roads still not passable due to the storm are at 85 and 193, respectively, while the number of houses damaged by Paeng is now at 7,040.

So far, 161 cities and municipalities have already declared a state of calamity.
