Blinken: Without resisting Russia, Ukraine may cease to exist

There would be no more Ukraine if it stopped resisting the Russian Federation, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at a meeting of the UN Security Council, Report informs citing foreign media.

“If Russia stopped fighting tomorrow, the war would end. If Ukraine stopped fighting, there would be no more Ukraine. Russia’s unprovoked war of aggression has halted maritime trade in large swaths of the Black Sea. It’s made the region unsafe for navigation, trapping Ukrainian agricultural exports, as we’ve heard, jeopardizing global food supplies,” he said.

Earlier, Blinken said that against the background of the Ukrainian crisis and the consequences for the global economy, states around the world should work together to push Russia to create corridors for the transport of important goods from Ukraine by land or sea.
