Spring session of Milli Majlis nearing completion

The spring session of the Milli Majlis will end next week, Report informs.

According to the Internal Regulations of the Milli Majlis, the spring session begins on February 1 and lasts until May 31.

The last sitting of the parliament's spring session is scheduled for May 31. Though the spring session is nearing completion, an extraordinary special session of the Milli Majlis is expected to be convened.

Under the Internal Regulations, the extraordinary sessions of the parliament are convened by the Speaker of the Milli Majlis at the request of the President of Azerbaijan or 42 MPs of the legislature. The agenda of the extraordinary session shall be determined by those who request its convening.

After the extraordinary session, the deputies will be on vacation from July 15 to August 30. During their leave, deputies are paid an allowance in the amount of a two-month salary for treatment and rest.
