Siyavush Novruzov: Mass protests under the name of Nagorno-Karabakh in Baku serve to create confusion

Baku. 5 October. REPORT.AZ/ "Various mass protests held recently by a group of people under the name of Nagorno-Karabakh in Baku have nothing in common with Karabakh."

Report informs that Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Associations and Religious Organizations, Deputy Executive Secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Siyavush Novruzov made the due statement at today’s meeting of the parliament.

He noted that these protests serve to create confusion among the Azerbaijani people: "The territorial integrity of Azerbaijan is on the agenda as a main condition. The Azerbaijani society also supports the president in this regard. The president reports to the public about the ongoing negotiations. The people elected the President and authorized him, so this right belongs to the President. Now people who think as in the 1990s consider that protests should be held to show pressure against president to foreign organizations. It means that the President of Azerbaijan agrees to some concessions, but does not compromise as a result of public pressure. What is the judgement, how do such thoughts arise? President has made a resolute statement on this."
