Turkish general: Regular meetings held with senior Azerbaijani military officials

Regular meetings are held between senior military officials of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, the head of the Turkish Institute for Strategic Thinking, Major General of the Reserve, Associate Professor Güray Alpar told the Ankara bureau of Report.

He noted that the expansion of relations between the Armed Forces of both countries is a fact:

“Thanks to the mutual understanding in the military sphere between the two fraternal countries, an effective form of interaction has developed. Our armies have the same training and weapons system. The Azerbaijani army has become the most powerful army in the region, operating jointly with the Turkish one. Recently, Azerbaijan has successfully carried out the structural changes necessary to create fast and efficient army. The armies of both countries have learned and continue to learn a lot from each other. Meetings and trainings are being held at all levels, including with the participation of senior officers of our countries.”

The general noted that the contribution of political, military and strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye to maintaining peace in the region is obvious.
