State Border Service: Organization of border control launched in liberated Azerbaijani territories

The organization of border control has been launched in the liberated Azerbaijani territories, Colonel-General Elchin Guliyev, head of the State Border Service (SBS), said at a solemn ceremony on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the Azerbaijani border guard, Report informs.

He stressed that the Azerbaijani border guards during the 44-day Patriotic War successfully completed the combat missions set by the President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.

It was noted that after the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, including the liberation from the occupation of the state border with Armenia, on behalf of the head of state, the implementation of comprehensive measures to create the necessary border guard infrastructure, improve service conditions and social security of military personnel continues at an accelerated pace in these territories, in the shortest possible time, new military units were created in the liberated territories, border combat posts began to function, and the organization of border control began in the relevant areas.
