Military attachés of foreign countries visit minefields at Saribaba height – UPDATED 

The military attachés of the diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan and journalists have visited the minefields found in the Saribaba high ground in the Lachin District, Report informs.

The officials of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan informed the military attachés and journalists about the mines discovered by the engineering and fortification units of the Azerbaijani Army.

During the visit organized by the Ministry of Defense, military attachés and journalists got acquainted with the demining measures in the area.

The military attachés of the diplomatic missions accredited in Azerbaijan have started their trip to the Saribaba high ground in Lachin District, Report informs.

The diplomats will visit the minefields buried by illegal Armenian armed groups in the northern direction of the high ground.

On November 21, as a result of demining activities conducted by the Azerbaijan Army’s engineer-sapper units, an anti-personnel minefield laid by illegal Armenian armed detachments was detected in the northern direction of the Saribaba high ground.

As a result of demining measures taken in the area, 350 PMN-E anti-personnel mines produced in Armenia in 2021 were detected and neutralized in compliance with safety regulations.
