Azerbaijan, Turkey implement joint projects to bolster technical equipment supplies of armies

On November 23, Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, met with a delegation led by Haluk Gorgun, Chairman and CEO of the Turkish company ASELSAN, the Defense Ministry told Report.

Welcoming the guests, the defense minister noted that positive steps had been taken in the field of military and military-technical cooperation between the two countries and that the friendly and fraternal relations between the heads of the two states are important in expanding the Azerbaijani-Turkish relations in all directions. The minister stressed the high quality of technical equipment produced by ASELSAN, used in the Patriotic War.

The meeting discussed new methods and techniques of modern combat operations, as well as joint projects implemented by the two brotherly countries to further strengthen the technical equipment provision of the two armies.

It was noted that the development of the Azerbaijani Army as a professional army equipped with state-of-the-art weapons and military equipment, including advanced information technologies, with extensive communication systems will ensure the secret, operational management of our troops, increase their maneuverability and combat capability in general.
