Armenian armed forces fire on Azerbaijani positions in Zangilan

At 02:50 a.m. on March 20, the Armenian armed forces fired on the positions of the Azerbaijan State Border Service (SBS) located at the height of Aghbashyurd, the Zangilan district, from their positions in the Nerkin-And settlement of Gafan region, Report informs, citing the SBS.

A junior sergeant of the Border Service, Ramin Manafov, was wounded as a result of the provocation.

The serviceman was evacuated to a specialized medical facility and underwent surgery, his life is not in danger.

Currently, the operational conditions are stable and under the full control of Azerbaijani units.

“The State Border Service assesses this incident as another provocation by the Armenian side, and the responsibility for this lies entirely with the Armenian side,” the SBS said.
