Agency: Accurate data available on mining of cemeteries in Aghdam, Jabrayil and Lachin

There is accurate information about the mining of cemeteries located in the villages of Yusifcanli and Karagaci of Aghdam district, Jojug Marjanli of Jabrayil, and Suarasi of Lachin district, the Press Service of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA).

During the research and cleaning operations conducted by ANAMA, it was discovered that the former contact line and the gardens, forests, vineyards, destroyed settlements, cemeteries, river banks, and other places located around these areas were seriously contaminated by mines:

"In 2021, the mine incidents in Yusifcanli village cemetery of Aghdam district, which resulted in the death of 2 civilians and the injury of 2 people, are proof of this. As the last incident, on October 21, in the cemetery of Suarasi village of Lachin district, one person was killed, and another person was injured by a mine incident, which is proof of this."
