Report Media School completes training program of 11th group

The training program of the 11th group of the Report Media School, operating in the Report Information Agency, has been completed, with graduates presented with certificates.

Certificates were granted to nine participants of the school who learned the secrets of journalism in the agency, prepared news, interviews, reports, investigative articles, video stories, photo reports, participated in monitoring and surveys.

Director of Report Information Agency, Fuad Huseynaliyev, expressed confidence that the graduates who succeeded during the training program will be successful in journalism:

"I think this process will be a springboard for the graduates of the Report Media School training program. If you act this way, your meeting with amazing people are ahead. You will be the first to get the news. It all depends on you. A good journalist can get a job everywhere."

Head of Report Media School, trainer Ismayil Rafigoglu said that in addition to main teaching, dozens of meetings with well-known media personalities took place:

The 11th group of Report Media School met with economist Aslan Azimzada, head of Report's Russian-language department Kamala Mustafayeva, graduate of Report Media School Gulnara Jamilova, who now works at Report, art journalist Firangiz Aghalarova, editor-in-chief of Kaspiy newspaper Vyacheslav Sapunov as part of the educational process.

"Interesting meetings were organized with Vyacheslav Sapunov, media director of Global Media Group Hamid Hamidov and a number of well-known personalities," Rafigoglu said.

He noted that participants had to make news of every event that takes place:

"It was necessary to prepare a material from each meeting as a training task. Sometimes the seemingly simple news was not easy to understand. For example, it was not easy from an emotional point of view to prepare news about the meeting with Mubariz Aslanov, the special correspondent for Eastern Europe of Report Information Agency, Baku TV, the Azerbaijani journalist covering the war in Ukraine. The meeting with Iranian journalist Farida Abulfathi brought very positive impressions. Our meetings with Baku TV Director Ramin Jafarov, Editor Natella Osmanli and Azer Jabbarov, trainer at the newly established Digital Media School courses, were especially memorable."

The head of the Report Media School also spoke about the difficulties he encountered during the educational process:

"Not everyone could cope with the responsibility of the training. Several participants dropped out of the course. We are thinking of applying a stricter approach to cases of irresponsibility, absence during the training, and coming late in future groups. Everyone should understand the responsibility of the profession."

Report Media School was launched in June 2018. Its purpose is to train professional staff in the field of media in Azerbaijan, to convey the modern trends of the world press to young journalists, to reveal the potential of those who are interested in the profession and want to work in this field, and to ensure the increase of practical knowledge and skills in the profession. So far, dozens of young people have graduated from Report Media School. Those young people work in various media institutions of the country.
