NTRC revokes licence of broadcasting company, gives one to another company

Baku. 19 October. REPORT.AZ/ The next meeting of theNational Television and Radio Council (NTRC) was held.

Report was told in Council that during the meeting compliance ofthe requirements of the legislator in the field of TV and radio broadcasting bybroadcasters discussed.

In addition, the appeal of "Caspium Group" LLC toobtain a license for broadcasting of TV and radio channels through codeddevices was considered,

According to the Distributorship Agreement between "CaspiumGroup" LLC and KREA İÇERİK HİZMETLERİ VE PRODÜKSİYON A.Ş. (DİGİTURK) datedAugust 3, 2018 sale rights of DIGITURK TV and radio products (DIGIPAKET) aredetermined to be owned by Caspium Group LLC in Azerbaijan and it has beengranted an indefinite license for implementation of external TV and radiochannels through coded devices.

The meeting also considered the disciplinary proceedings inthe case filed against Roberts Cafe LLC; the license issued to the company forbroadcasting activities of foreign TV and radio channels via satellite throughcoded installations was revoked.
