Erdoğan: “The goal of states that put pressure on Azerbaijan is not a ceasefire”

"Azerbaijan, which wants to liberate its lands, cannot be the target of this civil society (meaning the Turkish Medical Association - SI)."

Report informs, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at a meeting of the parliamentary faction of the Justice and Development Party.

The Turkish leader said that there are about 100,000 Armenians in Turkey, and they live comfortably:

"If you stand next to the Armenian government, this nation will not like you. Armenians in our country opposed the desire of my Azerbaijani brothers to liberate their lands. The co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group have not been able to resolve the issue for 30 years. Will a negotiation last 30 years?

Therefore, it came to this. We have supported our Azerbaijani brothers and will continue to do so. But why don't you speak about the co-chairs' support to Armenia? Why don't you mention the support from Russia and France? Some say we send mercenaries from Syria to fight in Karabakh. We do not do such work."

According to Erdoğan, the goal of states that put pressure on Azerbaijan is not a ceasefire: "The rocket attack on civilian areas in Azerbaijan shows that their goal is different. However, as Turkey, we will defend and stand by Azerbaijan."
