Russian expert: Pashinyan is trying to disrupt peace talks

Everything that is happening now in Karabakh is a precautionary step taken by of Azerbaijan, which was taken in response to the numerous shelling by Armenians, as well as the attempt by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to derail the peace negotiations by dragging them, Associate Professor of the Department of International Security of the Faculty of World Politics at the Lomonosov Moscow State University, political scientist Alexei Fenenko said, Report informs.

“What is happening is a sign that Azerbaijan is not going to wait for the next 20 years,” he said..

The expert noted that in the current situation, the Russian side remains neutral.

“Russia will remain neutral. The hope of the Armenians that Russia ‘will come running to rescue’ is not valid. So it’s better for them not to dream of revenge, but to go to peace talks,” the political scientist concluded.
