Presidential rep: We consider Aghdam residents' visit to their homeland as symbol of great return

"We regard the visit of the Aghdam residents to their homeland as a symbol of the great return," the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan Emin Huseynov said, Report informs.

"After the trilateral declaration of November 10, the Armenians were forced to leave Aghdam. After this historic victory, the construction of some infrastructure projects began. Aghdam region is one of those that has been more heavily contaminated with anti-tank and anti-personnel mines and unexploded ordnance. Unfortunately, it creates tremendous difficulties for our work. Despite this, work is progressing at an accelerated pace, "he said.

According to him, the return of Aghdam residents was a matter of time.

"We regard this visit as a symbol of the great return, which will continue until all our compatriots return to their native lands. Our citizens got acquainted with the current state of Aghdam and the construction work carried out here. Of course, this is very important. As the territories are cleared of mines, we want to continue conducting such visits," Huseynov added.
