"Relevant work is underway to calculate the damage to the environment in our liberated lands," Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Firdovsi Aliyev said in Zangilan, Report informs.

According to him, Azerbaijan is a full member of about 20 environmental conventions: "Experts of the international convention will take part in the monitoring with us. In this case, they will witness the Armenian vandalism. We have valuable underground and surface deposits in the Karabakh region, which forms 40% of mineral water resources."

The Deputy Minister noted that the enemy also destroyed the useful fields of our country: "They lived in the houses, which we built, for 30 years and burned them down while leaving our lands. Over the years, Armenians set fires on 100,000 hectares and caused great damage to our flora and fauna. An investigation is underway in this regard. We will raise this issue before international organizations."
