German Deputy FM comments on Yerevan's refusal to provide map of minefields

German Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe, Special Representative of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe under the German chairmanship Michael Roth answered the question of a member of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

According to Report's French bureau, during the PACE spring session, Huseynov asked the German Deputy Foreign Minister "what measures are taken to provide that Armenia give maps of landmines and assume responsibility for clearing mines in Nagorno-Karabakh."

In response, Roth said that Berlin supports the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group: "We support the activities of the OSCE Minsk Group and the observation group. The activities of the Minsk Group in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must yield lasting results. We are ready to promote support to this issue within the Minsk Group."
