Dutch envoy: EU active in Azerbaijan-Armenia negotiations

The EU is active in negotiations on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is very important that the parties start working on a peace treaty, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Azerbaijan Pauline Eizema said, Report informs.

“While I am here, I would very much like to see concrete steps in this direction,” the ambassador added.

She said that Dutch companies can take part in the restoration of infrastructure in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, but the mine danger slows down this process: “This is a former conflict zone, there are many mines. We are working with Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) on mine clearance. The Dutch company provided technical equipment, and our country has experience in this area.”
