296 families to be settled in Azerbaijan’s Lachin by year-end

By the end of this year, the first migration to Lachin will take place, as 296 families will be settled there, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said while presenting the government's report for 2022 at the plenary session of the parliament held on March 17, Report informs.

According to him, one of the remarkable historical events is the beginning of the resettlement of the population to the Aghali village of the liberated Zangilan district: “In the presence of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, the opening ceremony of the first stage of the Smart Village project was held in the Aghali village of the Zangilan district on May 27. In the first phase, 66 families (326 people) have been moved to Aghali. 86 families (420 people) have been relocated so far. By the end of this year, it is planned to place the first group of Lachin residents. 296 families will settle in the villages of Zabukh and Sus. Currently, the first 20 families are being relocated to Talish village.”
