UAE plans to build a city on Mars and send there people

Baku. 14 February.REPORT.AZ/ UAE authorities announced the Mars 2117 project which aims to build a miniature city on the Red Planet within 100 years and send people.

Report informs citing RIA Novosti, the UAE media says.

Sketches of the project appeared on the internet.

UAE PM, Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan announced running of the program.

As part of a 100-year national programme, the UAE will set a plan to prepare national cadres.

According to UAE PM, the project is aimed at acquisition of knowledge and scientific capabilities, re-organization of universities and research centers and entrench a passion for space in younger generations".
