Taleh Ziyadov: Port of Baku implemented 8 projects jointly with EU

Baku International Sea Trade Port has been working closely with the European Union (EU) since 2016 implementing 8 projects together, Taleh Ziyadov, director-general of the Port of Baku, said at the event titled "Raising Ambition, Delivering Action: COP29 Sustainable Business Forum", Report informs.

According to him, one of those projects is the preparation of the Net Zero Strategy for the Port of Baku: "Also, the Port was the first in the region to be declared the green port in the Caspian Sea basin by the European Ports Association. At the same time, we helped Aktau port of Kazakhstan to get this certificate."

Ziyadov said that the main goal of the Port of Baku is to create a green corridor from China to Europe: "This means that all transportation routes and railway infrastructure should be green."
