CIS adopts tariff policy for rail freight transportation in 2023

The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) adopted a tariff policy for rail freight in 2023, the Belarusian Railways said, Report informs via the state news agency of Belarus.

The tariff policy of the railways of the member states was adopted at the tariff conference of the railway administrations of the CIS countries: "Thereby, the tariffs for international freight transportation for the 2023 freight year have been determined."

The functions of the management of work related to the tariff policy in 2023 have been entrusted to the railway administration of Kazakhstan: "The tariff policy of the CIS for 2023 will be posted on the official website of Kazakhstan Railways (KTJ) and Belarusian Railways."

The tariff policy was developed in accordance with the basic principles of determining the agreed tariff policy for railway transport of the CIS member states. It was approved by the Council of Heads of State of the CIS in October 1996.
