Baku. 3 February. REPORT.AZ/ Line routs to private carriers engaged in passenger services will be issued through competition.
Report informs, Baku Transport Agency (BTA) General Director's Adviser Mubariz Abbasov told reporters at the meeting with representatives of carrier companies.
M.Abbasov noted that competition terms will be sent to carrier companies: “Competition terms include production facilities, standard of transportation vehicles, drivers’ qualification and etc. Baku Transport Agency will sign 3-5-year contract with any physical or legal entity meeting these requirements. The agency announced decision of Cabinet of Ministers on drivers’ age limit to entrepreneurs and instructed them”.
The aim of today’s meeting to bring to the attention of carrier companies some problems in the field of transportation, listen their suggestions, hold discussions towards solution of problems. Responsibility on the eve of upcoming Islamic Solidarity Games lays on BTA. We hold regular meetings with carriers in charge of passenger transportation to areas around Games’ venues, as well as those in charge of serving sportsmen and volunteers. We hold discussions and set cooperation areas”, BTA official told.
