Azerbaijan, Poland mull development of Middle Corridor

Azerbaijan and Poland exchanged views on the development of the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor) and aviation, reviewing potential opportunities, Rashad Nabiyev, the Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said on Twitter, Report informs.

Nabiyev met with Grzegorz Piechowiak, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Technology of Poland, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

“At the meeting, we discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and Poland in the field of transport and ICT,” he tweeted.

The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route was established in February 2014 with the participation of the relevant structures of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Georgia. Later, Ukraine, Romania, and Poland joined the project. Currently, the route starts from the China-Kazakhstan border and extends to Europe, passing through the territory of Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
