AZAL's vice president: Crashed aircraft was subjected to illegal external interference

The Embraer passenger aircraft operating the Baku-Grozny flight was subjected to illegal external interference, which resulted in the failure of the aircraft's control systems, AZAL Vice President Ilham Amirov said at the farewell ceremony for the deceased crew members of the Baku-Grozny flight, according to Report.

"At this critical moment, our pilots showed great courage and heroism. The crew sent an emergency signal to the airports of Grozny and Makhachkala, but unfortunately, they did not receive a positive response," he said.
