SOCAR Polymer awarded international certificates

SOCAR Polymer LLC, a resident of the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park under the management of the Economic Zones Development Agency (EZDA) under the Ministry of Economy, was awarded several "IMS" certificates by the Australian company TUV Austria Cert GmbH, Report informs, citing the EZDA.

According to the information, these are EN ISO 9001:2015 ("Quality Management System" international standard), EN ISO 14001:2015 ("Environmental Management System" international standard), and ISO 45001:2018 ("Occupational Health and Safety Management System" international standards).

The certificates, reflecting that the activity of SOCAR Polymer meets international standards, will enable further expansion of the export possibilities of the company's products.

SOCAR Polymer was registered as a resident in 2013. The annual capacity of the enterprise created by the company using Canadian and Austrian technologies is 184,000 tons of polypropylene (PP) and 120,000 tons of high density polyethylene. So far, SOCAR Polymer has produced products worth 984 million manats ($579 million), and exported part of it worth 885 million manats ($521 million). Manufactured products are exported to 15 countries under the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand. Over 750 people have been permanently employed in the enterprise with an investment value of $864 million.
