Samir Sharifov says increasing defense spending in center of attention

Increasing defense spending in the state budget of Azerbaijan is the focus of the country's president, Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said at the joint meeting of Milli Majlis committees.

"This is a strategic issue. I believe that the head of state knows this issue better than anyone. If there is a need to increase defense spending in the next year, the president will amend the budget and send the corresponding bill to the parliament."
