Azerbaijani athletes Sevinj Movsumzade and Vusal Aliyev, who won gold medals at the World Kudo Championship in Tokyo, Japan, were awarded, Report informs.
The event was attended by the Honorary President of Azerbaijan Koshiki Karate-do Federation Adnan Ahmadzada, President of the Federation Rafael Bunyatov, First Vice President of the Federation Yuri Mustafayev, vice presidents Anvar Hazarkhanov and Vali Bunyatov, head coach Nazim Movsumzada and other officials and coaches of the federation.
Adnan Ahmadzade presented the trophies to the athletes who won the first World Kudo Championship for Azerbaijan. Congratulating the athletes, the honorary president wished them success in future competitions.
The officials said that it was a great success.
Anvar Hazarkhanov, on behalf of the Federation’s management, expressed gratitude to Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov and the President of the Azerbaijan Karate-do Federations Association, Ulvi Guliyev, who always cared about and paid attention to the athletes' participation in prestigious competitions.

Azerbaijan was represented by 4 karatekas at the World Championships. Rashad Guliyev, and Vusal Aliyev competed in the adult competitions, Sevinj Movsumzade in the 16- to 19-year-old age group, and Bugday Rahimli in the U16 age group.
