“ShamkirChess 2018”: Shakhriyar Mamedyarov to meet world champion today

Baku. 19 April. REPORT.AZ/ The first round of chess meetings in “ShamkirChess 2018” tournament dedicated to the memorial of Azerbaijan's late grandmaster Vugar Hashimov, will be held today.

Report informs, Azerbaijani chess player Shakhriyar Mamedyarov will meet with Magnus Carlsen, world chess champion. Teymur Rajabov and Rauf Mammadov will play with black figures.

Meetings will start at 15:00.

Notably, the competition will consist of 9 rounds in circular system.
